Your LinkedIn profile is a landing page. Treat it like one.

Every time you post, comment or send a message, someone clicks on your name.

What they see in the next few seconds decides whether they follow you, message you, or leave.

That's a landing page. Most founders just don't treat it like one.

The usual mistakes

After going through a lot of founder profiles, the same problems keep showing up:

  • A headline that lists a job title. "CEO at Company" tells people nothing about what you can do for them.

  • A banner nobody thought about. It's the biggest space on your profile, and it's often a stock photo or empty.

  • An About section written for yourself. Your story matters, but only after the reader knows why they should care.

  • No next step. People are interested, and there's nowhere obvious to go.

What a good profile does

A good profile answers three questions fast:

  1. Who do you help?

  2. What do you help them get?

  3. Why you, and not the next person?

If a stranger can't answer those after a few seconds on your page, your content and outreach are working harder than they need to. You're sending people to a page that doesn't close.

Small fixes, big difference

Most of this doesn't take long to fix.

Rewrite your headline around the result you deliver, not your title. Use the banner to say what you do in one line, with one clear next step. Open your About section with the reader's problem, not your career.

Then look at your Featured section. Put the one thing you want people to do there, whether that's booking a call, reading a case study or joining a webinar.

Start here

If you're about to put time into content or outreach, fix the profile first. Everything else points to it.

And if you want a second pair of eyes, that's what the LinkedIn audit is for. I go through your profile line by line and give you a clear list of what to fix first.
